A beech armchair attributed to William Birch, with a gently waved back panel set between tall stiles with turned finials. The arms sweep out to beautifully scrolled hand rests, and the front legs finish in neat little bun feet. The natural rush seat is in good, tight condition, and the timber has a rich, mellow patina.
